Privacy Policy

Qeevai (“the App”) is developed and operated by Dantech Consulting, s. r. o., Holíčska 3137/18, 851 05 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 53260333 (“we”). We are the controller of the personal data processed for accounts. Contact us at support@qeevai.com.

Cars, expenses, odometer readings, reminders, recurring expenses, tags and settings are stored in a database on your phone. They do not leave it and we cannot access them. You delete them in the App (Settings → Start over) or by uninstalling the App. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud, Google) may include them depending on your settings; that backup is governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies.

If you create an account (e-mail and password, Google or Apple), we process:

• account data: e-mail, account identifier, password in hashed form; with Google or Apple sign-in the data the provider passes on (e-mail, possibly your name),
• app data: cars (name, make, model, licence plate, VIN, year, purchase details, odometer, tyre size, insurance policy number), expenses (category, amount, date, quantity, odometer, notes, tags), yearly odometer readings, reminders, recurring expenses, tags and settings (currency, language, appearance, hidden categories),
• technical data: IP address and sign-in logs created when the App talks to the server, used for security.

Purpose and legal basis: running your account, backup and sync – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); security and abuse prevention – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: as long as you have an account. When you delete it, the data is removed from our database right away; server backups are overwritten within 30 days at the latest. For an Apple account we also ask Apple to remove the App’s link to your Apple ID (we send Apple a one-time code from your confirmation in the Apple sheet).

We only send e-mails your account needs: confirming your sign-up and a link to set a new password. No advertising, no newsletters.

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your phone; no push notification service is used and nothing is sent to us. Backup files, restoring them and PDF reports are processed on your phone; you decide where a file goes.

The App contains no ads and no analytics or advertising SDKs, reads no advertising identifiers and does not track you across apps or websites. The App Store and Google Play collect their own statistics (such as downloads and crashes) under their own policies; we only see aggregated, anonymous figures.

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object. Portability: download all your data as a readable JSON file in the App (Settings → Back up to a file), or write to us. Delete your account in the App (Settings → Delete account), see also Delete account. You may lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk) or the authority in your country.

Communication with the server is encrypted (TLS). Each account can only see its own data, enforced by rules in the database itself. Data on the server is stored encrypted.

The App is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly process children’s data. If you learn that a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change how we process data, we will update this policy and its date. We will tell you about significant changes in the App.
